Students from Greenvale School and Charlton Park Academy Na’ama Goldman will sing the title role of the tempestuous and seductive gypsy who seduces handsome Don Jose (Gustavo Porta) from his duty and into a turbulent passion that ends in tragedy. The production enjoyed 4 x sell-out performances and received some fantastic reviews, well-deserved by both our production teams, professional singers and very enthusiastic community chorus! This year we were thrilled to to present a modern take on Leonard Bernstein’s extraordinary operetta Candide, first performed in 1956, but based on a 1759 comic novella by the French philosopher Voltaire.
